bang
A walk through the universe of base-2 designs. Each design is a code that keeps or drops the corners of a cell; repeat that rule inside itself and a counting system draws its own fractal portrait. Up to symmetry there are 3 such designs in one dimension, 6 in two, and 22 in three, and the app pages through them one at a time.
Dials
- Page forward and back through the catalog for the current dimension.
- dimension switches between 1, 2, and 3. Asking for 4 is refused - too big to walk, nothing to render.
- Designs iterate on a 3-wide tile: to a 729-cell strip in 1D, a 243 by 243 grid in 2D, and a lit 9 by 9 by 9 mesh in 3D.
- Each design is shown with its name, code, degree, and algebraic normal form.
- The base is locked at 2 - that catalog is the whole show today.
